Coalition for Education and Outreach

The Coalition for Education & Outreach (CEO) is an informal group of staff, faculty, postdocs and students on the Berkeley campus & surrounding outreach community who work in science, technology, engineering and math education and outreach (E&O). During the academic year CEO holds monthly meetings designed to encourage networking, professional development, and mentoring within E&O. Participants in CEO represent a variety of campus entities including Cal Teach, Science@Cal, the Experimental Cosmology Group, California Institute of Quantitative Biosciences (QB3), UC Museum of Paleontology, Space Sciences Lab, Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER), Center for Educational Partnerships, Synthetic Biology Engineering Research Center (SynBERC), Center of Integrated Nanomechanical Systems (COINS), Berkeley Nanosciences and Nanoengineering Institute (BNNI), and others. Our members are engaged in a wide variety of outreach programs including speaker series, high school internship programs, research experiences for undergraduates, research experiences for teachers, science cafes, museum programs, science festivals and science fairs. What we all have in common is a passion for providing engaging and exciting experiences in science, math and engineering for a broad spectrum of diverse individuals.
